While we often design glamorous black tie nonprofit galas, sometimes its nice to take a break from the formalities and just have fun.

The Founders Award Gala we created for The Historic House Trust of New York City was a perfect example. Hosted in a tent at Gracie Mansion, our design was simple and playful with a bold turquoise and green palette.

The theme was Hats Off! so we suspended dozens of straw hats with colorful ribbons from trees in the garden and inside the tent.

Many guests dressed for the occasion with their favorite hats, while those who came unprepared were invited to take home one of our suspended hats.
